Peter Michaels : MASTER BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION / MASTER APPLIED FINANCE

Hi, I’m Peter Michaels and I recently completed my Masters of Applied Finance at the Sydney Graduate School of Management.
I’d never completed a degree before and felt that if I was going to take that next big step up the professional ladder I needed to do one.
And I was able to because at SGSM they took my years of experience in management and finance into account.
Having done a Masters, I’m now far more confident because I have a much broader vision and deeper understanding of business, and the new skills I’ve learned have made me better at my job.
My increased knowledge and effectiveness has also given me greater credibility with my employer, colleagues and clients.
As a result, I’m also getting paid more.
In today’s competitive business environment, it’s not a question of ‘Can I afford to do it?’ but ‘Can I afford not to do it?’ because the person sitting next to you in your office will do it, and the person after you in the interview has done it.
Now I’ve got a Masters, I know I’d feel vulnerable without it.
Because I know I’ve got the edge on those that don’t have one.
